In a unexpected collaboration that challenges traditional predictions, the game developer has revealed an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Disclosed
According to the authorized announcement, "An unusual confrontation leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where hints of banned practices and terrifying metamorphoses reverberate through the obscurity." The plot presents a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a secret sect.
The adventure focuses on "bizarre tests and a fearsome foe" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Iconic Settings and Changes
The preview features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser concludes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, presumably the hostage, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Rewards and Bonus Material
Players who accomplish the quest will receive an exclusive katana alongside multiple items secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
