The City of Angels experienced widespread celebrations after the Los Angeles Dodgers won a nail-biting seven-game World Series championship. Supporters worldwide joined Angelenos in celebration, marking the initial time in 25 years that a franchise has secured back-to-back championships.
Celebration Parade Attracts Enormous Crowds
Los Angeles area events featured a downtown parade on Monday morning, a reserved-seating event at Dodger Stadium, and impromptu gatherings throughout the city.
Social media videos depict thousands of Los Angeles residents packing downtown streets, many carrying handmade banners and team flags. The squad was seen riding high on a open-top bus through the masses, hoisting the Commissioner’s trophy high.
