She carried herself with calm resilience, a bright grin and a positive energy that inspired those around her,” the principal, the leader of her alma mater, stated to the Associated Press. “She was caring, considerate and always willing to help others.”

Law enforcement have charged a 29-year-old individual from Afghanistan with one count of homicide and charges of attempted murder while carrying a weapon.

“She had a lot of compassion and she absolutely had courage,” he addressed the crowd at the service. “Though her life lasted far too short, she has left a mark that’s going to be remembered always.”
