Devoted fans of the pop star are urging that a man who leaped a barricade and grabbed the celebrity during Thursday's Wicked: For Good premiere be taken into custody or deported from Singapore.

A circulating clip shows the Australian man pushing past camera operators and charging at Grande while the performers proceeded down a promenade flanked by supporters.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo immediately wrested the shocked performer away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being led away of the gathering by guards.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "let go after being detained", though legal records showed that he was scheduled to appear on Friday morning. It is not clear if he was charged.

Record of Disruptions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Troll Most Hated", has disrupted a concert or event. His Instagram profile contains videos of him disturbing other high-profile occasions, including breaching the performance area at the artist's Sydney performance in June this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers concert in the city last winter.

"Steps should be implemented applied against him as this is obviously a criminal offence," wrote an Instagram commenter, in a message to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his actions.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" another Instagram user remarked.

Fans Show Disapproval Over the Star's Past Trauma

Several fans criticized Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had revealed experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder after a terrorist explosion at the end of her spring 2017 performance in Manchester, killing 22 people and harming many.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" said one more message on Instagram.

A number of attendees also criticised guards at the gathering for not being adequately prepared; while others requested online networks to block Mr Wen's uploads.

Aftermath and Event Details

In clips circulating online, Grande seemed shocked when she was grabbed by the man. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen reassuring her while Mr Wen was led out by staff.

Grande has remained silent on the incident, and the premiere activities continued without further issues.

They were joined by cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the highest-grossing movie of last year in the UK, and earned ten award recognitions, winning a pair for outstanding attire and production design.
