Your Perfect Pokémon Legends: Z-A Super Form Based on Your Astrological Sign
The return of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has ignited immense enthusiasm across the community. Starting with the one-by-one reveal of newcomers before the title's release, to trainers forming strong views on the full roster of new Megas, there's plenty for fans to anticipate.
Given many of the Mega Evolutions boasting unique appearances that emphasize their personalities, one thought came to mind: How can link this with zodiac signs? The following is inspired by a mix of intuition, common zodiac traits, and personal experience.
The Ram – Mega Camerupt
To be truthful, Houndoom was nearly chosen for Aries, as both are the Mega Pokémon and zodiac symbol that evoke the most fear. But, a Super Houndoom appears as constantly angry, which doesn't match the Ram's energy, renowned for being fun, cheerful, and spontaneous. That's why the Ram much more akin to Mega Camerupt, which only spews lava when provoked. Remain on the friendly side of either and enjoy a powerful ally; if you cross them, prepare to face the consequences.
The Bull – Super Heracross
Similar to a devoted Bull, the steadfast Heracross species, whether in its standard and Mega form, has aided numerous players in Legends: Z-A. Though trustworthy, each the Pokémon and a Bull are still Fighting types, and – whether it's their companion or a strong opinion – will stand up for their side to the end. What about Mega Heracross that recalls most of my Taurus friends, though, is its unabashed love of treats. Many previous Pokédex entries mention their craving for sweet tree sap and how it employs its appendage to collect it all, which is pure Bull-sign vibe.
The Twins – Super Medicham
Observe this total royalty. You cannot tell me this creature is not the soul of any gathering, providing an constant fountain of gossip to anyone who wants to hear. Much like an captivating, gregarious Gemini, it's very easy to imagine Mega Medicham mesmerizing an entire Wild Zone with their tales. This Pokémon's official description also states its ability to predict an opponent's future actions, which seems very like a socially-savvy Twins.
The Crab – Mega Manectric
Cancer is widely considered as the most emotional sign of the astrological wheel, a passionate symbol famous for often becoming wrapped up in their feelings. Per the Pokédex, Super Evolution fills the creature with a “tremendous amount of electricity, but it's excessive for Manectric to fully control,” which sounds a lot like a typical Cancer crash-out. It is also recognized for its capability to make a storm cloud over its own head – and if there’s one thing a Cancer is likely to do, it’s spoil their own parade.
The Lion – Super Starmie
Well, did you think I was planning to pick the lion Pokémon for the king of the zodiac? Besides the reality that it would be far too on the nose, Leo is clearly Super Starmie, the star whose gams just became an internet sensation for being too fabulous (or terrifying, depending on your taste). Fans couldn’t look away from the violet sea star, and that’s exactly the identical vibe a Leo brings to the table. This Pokémon is also rumored to be broadcasting radio waves from its red core out into the cosmos, and it’s just like a Lion to be putting on a performance, even if for aliens.
The Maiden – Super Victreebel
The ever-prepared and constantly-worried Virgo is perfectly encapsulated in Super Victreebel, the Mega with perpetual acid reflux. The sign famous for being charmingly critical is clearly reflected throughout this Pokémon’s whole lineage, from a perpetually surprised expression like a Virgo when you inform them you lack a retirement plan, to its inverted face that’s just like the emoji a Virgo posts to the group chat when everyone says they want to “go with the flow” instead of making a plan.
Libra – Mega Audino
Observe this gentle, sensitive creature, who employs the sensors on its ears to tell how others are emotionally by their pulse. Always compassionate – sometimes to a detriment – and trying to keep the harmony, there are many Libras who would probably appreciate Mega Audino’s skills. However, to be frank, it would probably just cause them to worry more about others.
Scorpio – Mega Banette
This Ghost-type is a Pokémon with a unexpectedly sad backstory: Abandoned as a doll, it became sentient through pure hatred and swore revenge on its previous caretaker. Per the Pokédex, Super Evolution, “enhances its spitefulness.” That seems exactly like several conversations I’ve had with my scary Scorpion friends. A Scorpion loves karma and comeuppance, making them the ideal match with Mega Banette.
Sagittarius – Mega Hawlucha
Both Super Hawlucha and Sagittarians are always putting on a show. As a Sagittarius myself, the number of times I’ve referred to myself some variation of a “silly little entertainer” is innumerable. The most flamboyant and most obnoxious Mega Evolution, its description even mentions how it “flexes to show off its power.” I would do the exact same thing if I had some kind of Super Form, making Super Hawlucha the most apt Archer match I can think of.
The Goat – Super Absol
Did you know that a Mega Absol has the power to predict calamities in advance? That gives the exact same energy as a Capricorn, who often consistently think they’re correct. The thing is, much like a prophetic Super Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the very initial Super Form that players meet in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Goat to get in on the ground floor of the Mega trend.
Aquarius – Super Chandelure
Detached element Aquarius is arguably the non-flame sign that is closest to a fire sign – its counterpart is the Lion, and there are numerous memes about the Archer and Water Bearer being unpredictable accomplices. Super Chandelure's double Spirit/Flame category fits seamlessly with this, and the Super Form's general daunting presence is also extremely Water Bearer. If you weren’t already persuaded, the Super Form's description says it “absorbs hatred and converts it into strength.” If that doesn’t exactly {encaps
